Three on charges

WARWICK police had a relatively quiet New Year's weekend with only three men facing charges.

A 17-year-old Warwick youth will face Warwick Magistrates Court on January 31 after being charged with two counts of public nuisance and a charge of a minor consuming liquor in a public place on New Year's Eve.

At 1.55am yesterday, a 25-year-old Warwick man was charged with drink driving after registering .123 in Grafton St.

Police charged a 24-year-old man at 2.30am yesterday with possession of a dangerous drug and possession of utensils.

Senior Constable Clayton Binney said while there were events at Allora, Yangan and Killarney, local police were on hand to handle any problems.

"We had extra police on in Warwick but there were no requests for assistance," Snr Const Binney said.

"Overall we were happy with the behaviour of the public."
