Three riders share first place

LATEST, 5PM: THREE riders are equal first with 91 after the first 461 runs in the Black Toyota Warwick Gold Cup campdraft at the Warwick Showgrounds.

The final 262 horse-and-rider combinations will complete their first rounds on Thursday.

Kingaroy campdrafter Mark Buttsworth lead after day 1 on Playgirl Freckles but was joined on Tuesday by Chinchilla rider Jackie Knudsen, of Cab Sav, and Paul Pownall, of Monto, on Knights Rose, who scored 91 on Wednesday.

Wowan rider William Tapp scored 90 on Fortyninner Dreaming on Wednesday to join Peter Boddy, of Woodside, riding Dreamin, and Ian Gordon, of Goomburra, on Banshee Ginger Oak in equal fourth place.

The campdrafting and rodeo events at Warwick finish on Sunday.
