Three Warwick swimmers take it to the max

SWIMMING: Three swimmers from three different schools scored the maximum 50 points in the Warwick All Schools Swimming at Allora pool this week.

Caitlyn Skaines from Assumption won the Robert Reid Trophy for top girl and the Robert Reid Trophy for boys was shared by Brendan Hoffman (Warwick High) and Tom Winter (Scots PGC).

Scots PGC student Will Gilmore broke records in breaststroke and butterfly at the carnival and a team from his school set a new mark in the open medley relay.

Assumption won the three 15 years and under trophies, open relay trophy and the school average trophy, while Scots PGC won the three senior trophies.

The next major school carnivals for swimmers of all ages will be the two Darling Downs regional championships, at which students can aim to make the state team.
