THURSDAY: What's on at Jumpers and Jazz today?

THE wait is finally over, it's officially Jumpers and Jazz in July.

Get moving, there's heaps of workshops, exhibitions and jazz stages to see.

TREE JUMPERS

You won't have to go far to see the iconic Tree Jumper display that transforms Warwick's CBD into an outdoor gallery.

Take your time to inspect the trees as our residents have been working all year patching each square of yarn together.

The trees are dressed up along Palmerin and Fitzroy St.

UNIQUE DESIGNS

Stop in at Cafe Jacqui's from 9am to 5pm for a warm speciality hot chocolate and cake while you examine the creations by Helen Newton and her exhibition Old is New Again.

Find Cafe Jacqui's at the corner of Albion and Victoria Streets.

CRAFT SHOP

While you're at Cafe Jacqui's step inside the conference room and learn from the masters from the Warwick Spinners and Weavers.

Their pop-up shop runs from 10am to 2pm.

Participants can go away with their very own hand made item.

Find Cafe Jacqui's at the corner of Albion and Victoria Streets.

BED TIME

Nestled on the walls of Warwick shop, Just Because Gifts and Flowers, is the Quilting Over the Years Collection by local artist Dorothy Devine.

You can find it at 56 Palmerin St.

HISTORY TOUR

View antiques and wander the grounds of the 1891 ex convent building, Abbey of the Roses. Bookings are essential and cost $10 per head, phone 4661 9777.

COMMUNITY SECRETS

The Allora RSL Hall will be showcasing the hidden artistic gems of the community from 10am to 3pm.

Head to the hall at 22 Warwick St, Allora.

SUNFLOWERS

Follow the sunflower trail to Pringle Cottage Museum and enjoy a tour of the 1860s sandstone cottage, which in true Jumpers and Jazz fashion has been yarnbombed.

Entry costs $7 for Adults and $5 for children.

The museum is located at 79-83 Dragon St.

OUT OF THIS WORLD

The Warwick Art Gallery is showcasing the Galaxy Morphed exhibition which is created excursively for the festival.

Artists of the Darling Downs Textile Art Group explore the Universe, its intrigue and creative appeal through the textile medium.

Visit the gallery at 49 Albion St.

NOT YOUR ORDINARY BEANIE

Made from re-purposed second-hand knitwear and recycled material, Jumperhead explores the themes of animal trophyism and human body adornment, the artwork incorporates camouflage, grunge, science fiction and geekery.

Open at the Warwick Art Gallery, 49 Albion St, 10am to 4pm.

The Warwick Art Gallery Yarntopians are world renowned for their quirky collaborations.

This year they invite you to visit their Home Sweet Home and indulge your nostalgic sweet tooth.

POP UP CRAFT SHOP
