Tickets for 2014 Bluesfest already 40% sold
THEY'VE yet to announce a single act, but already tickets for next year's Byron Bay Bluesfest are nearly halfway gone.
Organisers have said there has been a rush on early bird tickets for the 25th Bluesfest next year, meaning 40% of the tickets for the festival had already gone.
Posting on their website, organisers said they would announce the first round of acts for 2014 earlier than last year - when the first announcement was made in September - but would have to introduce "significant ticket price increases a lot sooner this year".
So far, super-enthused festival goers had been lashing out largely on the $1310 buddy package, which provides five days of festival access and camping for two adults.
Also available through early bird ticket sales were five-day adult tickets for $425 and five-day children's tickets (for people aged 6-14) for $100.
"This has surpassed all our expectations, and thank you for putting the trust in us to deliver another dream artist line up for you. Rest assured: We will," festival organisers posted on the website.
