Time to nominate our top volunteers
NOMINATIONS have been open for the past fortnight for the Condamine Sports Club Volunteer of the Year award.
The award is open to all volunteers and is based half on work as a volunteer in 2017 and half on work as a volunteer down the years.
Volunteer work in all sports will be considered when the junior sports star judges, who are independent of all sponsors, meet to determine the winner of the volunteer award and the Daily News/Warwick Credit Union Junior Sports Star of the Year.
All winners will be announced at the junior sports star awards night at the Hawker Rd Function Centre on March 19.
Nominations and supporting information on volunteer work to gerardw@warwick dailynews.com.au. Judging will be on the information provided in the email, no other information will be considered.
The first six nominations will be accepted. The club of the volunteer award winner receives a $500 cheque from the Condamine Sports Club.
Tickets for the junior sports award and volunteer night will go on sale on Monday at the Daily News.
This year's dinner will be the 25th for the awards and past winners welcome.
