Anniversary bowls
THE Southern Cross Bowls Club will have its 70th anniversary celebrations on Sunday.
Bowls will start at 9.30am. The club has played at the same venue since it opened in Palmerin St in 1947.

Touch sign-on
THE Warwick Touch Association sign-on will be on Wednesday at 6.30pm at the touch fields in Jackie Howe Dr.

Football returns
WARWICK junior football will return from a holiday break at Queens Park on Saturday morning with 480juniors in action.
The biggest numbers are in the four-, five- and six-year age groups, which augers well for the future of the sport in Warwick. The club has also received a $35,000 grant from the Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund to fertilise and regrass Queens Park.
Wolves away
THE Warwick Wolves are away in two grades on Sunday in Football Toowoomba fixtures.
Warwick will play West Wanderers in Toowoomba at 1pm in reserves and at 3pm in the premier division. Last weekend, Warwick coach Jon Pearson didn't want to name his best players - he was happy with the lot in a 3-0 loss to leaders Willowburn in the premier division game in Warwick.
