Super Sprints title win is an aim

ANGELA Mann started with a second place in the classic touring car 0-1500cc class at the weekend as she aims to win the series in a new class in the Queensland Super Sprints A Series this year.

In 2009, Mann was fourth in the improved production 0-1600cc class.

“I am very happy with second,” Mann said.

Warwick driver Jason O’Mara continued on his winning way with victory in the improved production 0-1600cc class.

He hasn’t got a speedo but had a best lap time of two minutes, 54 seconds, for four 1200- metre laps.

Warwick District Sporting Car Club member Peter Herlihen said numbers were up compared to 2009.

“We have 140 entries in both A and B series and had 115 at the weekend,” Herlihen said.

“There are six drivers at a time on the short circuit (1200m) in each heat.”

Light rain on Saturday slowed the drivers down for a time.
