Today second hottest on record at Warwick
TODAY is the second hottest day in history in Warwick.
The temperature reached 42.0 degrees today, .2 below the February and all time record set yesterday.
While many might have expected new records to be set for February, Warwick has had the two hottest day on record for any month this weekend.
At Applethorpe just north of Stanthorpe, the temperature reached 39.3 degrees today to be the second hottest on any day since records started. It was 39.7 on Saturday for a new all time and February record.
The previous record was 37.8 degrees.
A spokesman for the Bureau of Meteorology said high temperatures would be gone for now with a maximum in the mid 30s predicted for Warwick tomorrow with showers and storms.
"The maximum for Warwick will drop down to the high 20s on Tuesday and Wednesday,” he said.
