Toddler found safe and well

A CLIFTON toddler initially believed to have wandered into a dam on a property west of town late yesterday was found safe and well inside the home, a Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesman said.

The alarm was raised shortly before 5pm and emergency crews were scrambled to join in a frantic search for the 18 month old boy before he was found safe and well by his grandfather.

The QAS spokeswoman said the small property was located in the Sandy Camp area about 11kms from Clifton in an area of larger properties and thick scrub.
