Tony returns to Warwick Dragway

TONY Inglis was happy to claim a bit of Warwick as he enjoyed his return to the Warwick Dragway for Powerfest.

After challenging himself on the bigger tracks last year, Toowoomba-based Inglis is back on the 1/8 mile at Morgan Park and aiming to regain the track title he won in 2008 in the super sedans.

He drives a ute but that still qualifies in the super sedan class.

“I want to support the local track this year. It is more fun and the people are better,” Inglis said.

“Some of my heritage is here; my uncle is David Kemp, of Warwick.”

There were 40 Dyno nominations on Saturday.

Dyno results: 4 cylinder – Tim Murphy, of Warwick, in a Subaru Impreza with 409.8 horse power.

6 cylinder boosted – Craig Young, of Mansfield, in a Nissan Skyline with 474.6.

6 cylinder – Jarrid Bartley, of Warwick, in a SV6 Commodore with 184.3.

8 cylinder boosted – Rob Ballinger, of Toowoomba, in a 67 Camero with 799.6.

8 cylinder – Glen Loy, of Warwick, in a 69 Holden Monaro with 345.9.
