TOOWOOMBA mum Melissa Sutton has won the ultimate in "mummy makeovers".

Ms Sutton was announced as the winner of an online competition to receive free plastic surgery in Thailand through the organisation, Destination Beauty.

The single mum hopes a "tummy tuck" will improve not only her own life, but also her three children's.

She believes plastic surgery on her scarred torso will improve her self confidence and make her a better role model for her babies.

But first, Ms Sutton has the delightful task of planning for an overseas adventure.

"I am just getting my passport and savings for the flights together, and a few other things organised, then I will decide when I'm going," she said.

"I am very excited and nervous at the same time."

The national online competition attracted hundreds of entries and invited people to vote for the person they thought was most deserving of free plastic surgery in Bangkok and accommodation up to the value of $7700.

Ms Sutton thanked all of the people who voted for her.
