Top ref encourages more players and refs in Warwick touch

TOUCH: Caitie Teo has had her hands full on Warwick Touch Football nights each Wednesday.

She played for Dencorub Demons in the first season this year and was referee for an average two games a week.

Teo refereed the A and B-grade grand finals last month and won the senior referee of the year award.

This season, she will concentrate on refereeing after taking up the gig three years ago.

"I refereed at the nationals and in state tournaments in touch when based in Hobart and moved to the Southern Downs four months ago to work for ihear,” she said.

"I am from the city so it is a nice change in the country.”

She is keen for more players and referees to sign up for the new season tomorrow at the touch fields from 6.30pm. Team and individual nominations welcome from age 11 and up.

If unable to attend, email warwicktouchfooty@hot mail.com or call president Justin Nolan on 0401323076
