Touch gears up for finals action tonight
TOUCH RUGBY: Preliminary finals will be played tonight in the Warwick Touch Football Association.
Games will be played on both fields at 6.30pm and 7.30pm between the top four in A to D grades.
There is no touch next week due to the clash with State of Origin footy and grand finals will be played on June 24.
Association president Grant Lollback said the competitions in all four grades had been tight.
"It has been a good competition this season," he said.
"Any team can virtually beat any other teams."
Designated Drinkers finished on top of the table in A grade and will play fourth-placed Live Action in the preliminary final tonight.
In the other A-grade game, Hairy Hobos will play a Wombats team which includes a number of young footballers.
The two winners will play in the grand final.
After the grand finals, Warwick touch will go into recess for more than a month and return on the first week of August for second season fixtures.
Lollback said there was space for more teams and anyone interested in the sport could contact Warwick Touch Association on their Facebook page.
Children from secondary school age and older welcome to play in club touch. There is no maximum age.
Parental permission is needed for children to participate in open teams.
