Town Hall makeover almost there
THE scaffolding around the Town Hall may be coming down on Wednesday, June 20, but the final unveiling is still weeks away.
Renovations should be completed by July 17, and manager of facilities Greg Thouard said progress was running on time.
"The upper walls, the urn and the reappointing of the whole front of the building have been completed.
"That has been completed on time and on budget," Mr Thouard said."
He said the fences would remain around the Town Hall so the final works could be done.
That was because the works from the front of the building to the footpath would now start.
"People will see a fresh new look of the front of the Town Hall and we hope to open the whole place up for a beautiful, revitalised hall (on June 17)."
