Investigation after wheels on the bus go ... well, just go

THE wheels on the bus were not going round and round after coming off on a roundabout at Brightwater on the Sunshine Coast.

A Sunbus lost two of its wheels while taking the roundabout on Kawana Way in front of the housing estate about 2pm on Wednesday.

Sunbus Head of Operations Brett Lee today said an investigation into the incident has been concluded.

"The investigation, conducted with the involvement of the Transport Workers Union, Department of Transport and Main Roads and local police who attended the incident, identified how the incident occurred and concluded it an isolated case that is in no way linked to the rest of the Sunbus fleet on the Sunshine Coast," he said.

"Sunbus has conducted a full check on the entire Sunshine Coast fleet and identified no potential reoccurrences of this incident."

Five passengers were onboard the bus at the time.

They were uninjured.
