Training provides vital skill
GATEWAY To Training is delighted that 2017 is shaping up to be another exciting year with the continuation of their highly successful work readiness programs across the region.
Transition to Work is an intensive pre-employment support program that assists 15-to-21-year-olds to improve their work readiness skills and gain entry level qualifications.
GTT's specialised youth workers provide individual and flexible assistance to help the young people overcome their personal barriers and address their employment concerns.
GTT also delivers the Get Set for Work and Steady, Ready, Go! programs, funded under the State Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
Get Set for Work is an integrated training and pre-employment program for 15-to-19-year-olds and in 2017 and will provide 40 people with an alternative pathway into employment and/or further training.
The Steady Ready Go! program delivers tailored support and assistance to participants of all ages, helping them gain nationally recognised skills and qualifications.
In 2017, GTT will work with 60 participants across the Balonne and Border Rivers regions to help them gain a Certificate III qualification and work readiness skills.
GTT staff also liaise with local employers to assist them in recruiting entry level staff, as well as connecting them to support services including potential wage subsidies and incentives.
For more information on how the program may assist you, phone GTT on 4671 2258.
