Travellers love chance for a reviver at Gladfield

AFTER walking 10km in the national park at Cunningham's Gap on Saturday, Naomi Bigbea and Daniel Schrama called in at the Gladfield Reviver Stop on the way home.

"We went on a 10km hike at the gap, the carpark where we started was full,: Miss Bigbea said.

"The driver reviver stop was definitely a good idea.”

Lindsay Mills is a regular at the Gladfield stop and said they had up to 10 travellers having a tea or coffee at the one time on Saturday afternoon.

"People who stop are grateful for having the Gladfield stop,” he said.

"We even had a couple of truck drivers pull up. Travellers told us we were the only reviver stop from Tenterfield to Gladfield.”

The major improvement at the driver reviver is the new water dispenser which has superceded two urns.

Volunteers are at the driver reviver for the start of the school holidays and will be back doing more work to help travellers in a fortnight.
