Travelling in style
HAVE bus, will travel, could be the motto of one Victorian family in Warwick for the Barastoc Polocrosse Nationals.
Peta Marriott met her future husband, West Australian player Jeremy Marriott, at the 1996 nationals at Werribee in Victoria and later that year he moved east.
Eight national championships later, their life still evolves around polocrosse in Victoria.
Peta will captain the Victorian masters next week and Jeremy is coach of the under-24 women's team.
Son Lachlan will play in the under-12 state side and seven-year-old Charlie is a budding player.
After travelling to carnivals with a gooseneck, they tried something different, a bus towing a six-horse trailer. Their longest trips have been to Perth and Warwick.
Peta said they had a full kitchen, bathroom, beds and a television.
"We cook all our meals during our trips," Peta said.
"The trip from home at Pearcedale near Frankston cost $600 in diesel."
