DJ's concert to commemorate Vietnam veterans

DJ AND performer Vincent Gallea has bounced back from an unlucky string of break-ins and thefts and is ready to hit the stage again.

Mr Gallea lost valuable music equipment when thieves broke into his shed and stole his laptop and CDs.

He was struck again when someone stole his instruments, including his guitars.

But the fundraising performer hasn't let it spoil his upcoming music tribute for Warwick's past soldiers.

The well known DJ will bring music to the ears of veterans and relatives at the Vietnam Veterans Day to be held next Tuesday.

The Warwick RSL club will host DJ Vince and his accompanying artists including Mayor Peter Blundell, Warwick High School Choir, Phil Crook trio show, Classic Kountry band, vocalist Jeanette Sadler and multi-award winning yodeller Eunice.

The Scots College PGC pipe band will kick off the day's entertainment after an informative flag-raising ceremony.

The day's concert will also be broadcast live on community radio station Rainbow FM 89.3.

"It's a gold coin donation, which is going towards the cleaning of the hall and back to the RSL club," Mr Gallea said.

"It's going to be quite a big day. It's the best $2 entertainment you're going to get.

"I didn't want people to pay $20 and $30 to come in."

All the local talent will perform free and said they were happy to donate their time to the veterans and the community. DJ Vince will perform a one- hour cabaret show.
