Photography trio joins forces at Warwick markets
IT CAN be rare to start a business pursuit with your friends in tow, but three Warwick locals have done just that.
Friends Chris and Karen Johnson of C&K Photography and Karen White of Pearly White Photography have joined forces to showcase their snaps at local markets.
"It's something we've been doing for a couple of years and we've been at markets for the last couple of months," Ms White said.
Although relatively new to the field, Mr Johnson said it was a life-long love that drew the couple to finally start photography.
"It's something I wanted to do for quite some time, and I started studying it and it grew from there," he said.
"I've just loved it forever," Mrs Johnson said.
The three all dream of making it full-time with their respective photography businesses but said it is a useful skill that is just as easy to pick up as a hobby.
"Right now photography is just a supplement to our jobs but we do hope we could make it full-time," Ms White said.
"There are definitely more opportunities to take photos now that there's digital cameras but I wouldn't say it's easier.
"Anyone can just snap a photograph but you definitely need to know what you're doing with the camera to be considered a photographer," Mrs Johnson said.
"Don't put off learning, just do it - it's that simple and you meet lots of people along the way," Mr Johnson said.
