Truck avoids dog, hits tree

AFTER swerving to avoid hitting a dog, a 45-year-old truck driver ploughed through a fence and into a tree at the corner of Yangan and Rangers Rds at 8.24 on Tuesday night.

The Warwick man was able to free himself from the vehicle and was found laying on the ground by emergency service personnel, bleeding from his face and left leg.

He was taken to the Warwick Hospital and treated for face and knee injuries, but was in a stable condition.

The truck was not carrying any contents and was moved from the road this morning.

Investigations are continuing.
