Trucks line highway for mates

MORE than 700 trucks lined the Warrego Highway last year to remember their truck-driving mates who passed away.

The Lights On The Hill convoy is on again today, expected to be bigger than the 2009 convoy.

Country music entertainers Travis Sinclair, Jayne Denham, Paul Costa and Jesta will make special appearances at the event at the Gatton Showgrounds.

The convoy departs Toowoomba Showgrounds and BP Archerfield at 11am and then travels to Gatton.

Entry price is $55 for convoy entry, gate price is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and children under five are free.

All funds go towards building stage two of the memorial wall to help families left behind, to be built by the end of this year.

The Lights On The Hill Truck and Coach Drivers Memorial is a memorial wall for truck and coach drivers who passed away in a truck accident or by other means and for passengers who have passed away in an accident. For more information visit www.lightsonthehill.com
