Two close campdrafting finals feature of Saturday action

CAMPDRAFTING: There was only one point between first and second as two more campdraft finals were held at the Warwick Rodeo and Campdraft on Saturday.

The Black Toyota Canning Downs campdraft was won by Bunnan (NSW) rider Adam Sadler.

Sadler was first with 268 from four riders on 267, Tim McCarthy (Kempsey) on Li Storm, John Mulcahy (Roma) on Gest An Acre, Warren Thompson (Rolleston) riding Hazelwood Conartist and Tamworth rider Wyatt Young on Cedarvale Twist.

Sadler, McCarthy, Mulcahy and Paul Agostino all scored a high of 92 in the final.

The Frasers Livestock Transport Stallion first round was on Saturday morning with the final later in the day.

Tamworth rider Rober Leach rode Hazelwood Congressman to a win with a two-round score of 179.

He won by one point from joint runners up Pete Comiskey (Nebo) riding Duck N Down and Jon Templeton (Kingaroy) on Holdens Contrast.

Round 4 of the Warwick Rodeo APRA National Finals from 5pm Saturday.

Pryde's EasiFeed Warwick Gold Cup second round action on Sunday morning and then the final at 12 noon along with second-division and junior rodeo finals during the day.
