Two close games in Warwick C-grade netball at WIRAC
NETBALL: The closest games in Warwick netball this week were in the C-grade competition.
Killara Cruisers won 32-28 against Renegades.
Cruisers have been one of the best teams in C-grade this season with a team which has always included some players from Killarney.
Renegades are a long-time Warwick club team which is captained by Dee Carrie.
In the other close C-grade match, Strikers beat Stylistics 31-25. The same two teams played in last year's grand final.
The Strikers combination is a team of players predominately in their 20s led by Rhianna Ryan.
Stylisters have won premierships down the years and are led by Melanie McLennan.
The game of the week next Monday will be the clash between Assumption College team Confro and Doorslammers.
One of the key match-ups will be Confro goalshooter Sophie Otten against Doorslammers goalkeeper Sandy Groves.
Many of the players in Warwick fixtures will back up on August 5 for the last Darling Downs Inter-district round of the season. Warwick will field six teams in round 5 and the finals in Toowoomba.
