Two ‘stabbed’ in neck and back on Qld party strip

TWO men were allegedly stabbed in the neck and back at Surfers Paradise in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old youth were late yesterday helping police with their inquires but had not been charged.

Detectives are investigating after a group of five males were approached by another group of men on the Esplanade about 2am on Saturday.

An altercation occurred between the two groups and a 25-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were injured, one receiving wounds to the neck and the other to his back.

Both men were taken to hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
