Two start times for Andy golf event

CANCER Council Queensland Warwick branch members will be out in force at the half-way house with water for players in the fourth annual Andy Wilson Memorial Golf Day on Sunday.

With a hot weekend forecast, there will be free water at the half-way house as well as two tee-off times, 7.30am and noon.

The 7.30am tee-off is due to the weather forecast.

The golf day has been held for the past 15 years and this year's event will be the fourth in memory of long-time Cancer Council Queensland Warwick branch office bearer and official Andy Wilson.

Branch treasurer Ken Hartnett said a five-figure sum had been raised for the Cancer Council Queensland down the years.

"We have sponsorship from more than 20 businesses in Warwick,” he said.

John Dee Warwick and Walls Sand and Gravel are the major sponsors.

The day will be a mixed four ball, best ball ambrose.

There will be prizes for first, second, third and fourth places and nearest the pin. The cost is $30 for non members and $15 for golf club members.

Players can book at the pro shop on 46613664.
