Two teens in custody after 'breaking into cars'

TWO teens have been arrested after they allegedly broke into two cars on Warwick streets in the early hours of this morning.

Warwick Police Sergeant Ryan Harmer said police were doing patrols of the area when they saw the pair acting 'suspiciously'.

The 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old man allegedly stole wallets and money after breaking into the cars near Tanna Dve and Flynn Dve about 2.30am.

Both cars were allegedly unlocked.

Sgt Harmer said the pair, who were both from Warwick, were immediately taken into custody and remained in the watch house this morning.

They have been charged with one count each of enter premises and commit an indictable offence.

They are expected to receive bail this morning and appear in Warwick Magistrates Court at a later date.
