Tykes brush up on arty skills and imagination

MINI Picassos will don capes and creative thinking caps for next week's school holiday art fun.

Organised by the Warwick Artists Group, children from ages five to 12 can dive into a world filled with colour and imagination.

Kids will get morning tea to munch on and for just $20 they get to learn art techniques including colour mixing, shapes and shading effects.

Artist group member Dawn Marriage will run the class next Thursday, January 23 and said she gets enjoyment watching the children develop.

"I think art makes children see the world a little bit different," she said.

"They begin to look at things from a bigger picture."

Holiday workshops are used as a fundraiser for the group.

The class will be held from 10am until noon.

The studio is located on Willi St, Warwick.
