Ultra Golden Country Music Club thanks its sponsors

IT was with sadness and regret that the Ultra Golden Country Music Club decided to discontinue its annual over 50s festival but the musical entertainment will still go on.

The club held a sponsor's luncheon at Baringa Nursery to say thank you to the sponsors which had supported the festival financially for the past 14 years.

Secretary Carolyn Pierce said the club also wished to recognise the many volunteers and workers who had contributed to the success of the event over so many years.

"They are too numerous to mention but we also thank competitors who made the journey to Warwick, often through cyclones, floods or heat waves as without the wonderful performers there would have been no festival.

"We are a small but thriving club which will continue to be active and prominent in our community," she said.

The club in-house band Classic Kountry will be seen performing at many functions and community events.

This weekend, Classic Kountry will be performing at the Bony Mountain Festival and then in Leslie Park during the rodeo craft markets and the next Ultra Golden Country Showcase will be the club Christmas Celebrations Concert on November 29 at Allora State School Hall.
