Motorcyclists of Ulysses Club hit the road for Endeavour
MOTORCYCLISTS of the Ulysses Club were quick to share their passion with Southern Downs Endeavour Foundation and Community Options at their eighth annual ride on Sunday.
Club secretary Elaine Wenham said getting out on the open road was a great experience for all involved.
"There were 22 bikes in total, including four trikes and one motorbike with a sidecar," Mrs Wenham said.
"For those clients using walkers or wheelchairs, they came along in cars.
"Just to see them happy with smiles on their faces makes us really pleased.
"We do it around the club's birthday each year and we're looking forward to doing the big 10 years soon."
Team leader of the Warwick Community Options branch Lisa Murphy said seven clients went on the ride, which went from Warwick McDonald's out to Deuchar, Wheatvale and Leslie Dam.
"For many of our Warwick Community Options clients, the chance to take a journey on the back of a motorcycle doesn't come along all that often," Ms Murphy said.
"The ride to Leslie Dam, followed by fun activities and a barbecue lunch with clients' carers and family members, was very much enjoyed by everyone.
"On behalf of Warwick Community Options I would like to express our sincere thanks to the members of Ulysses Club who helped to brighten the day of those who 'saddled up' for the ride."
