
Under 12 reps go down to Goondi
AFTER a victory against a full-strength Toowoomba side, the Warwick under-12 representative side went down by 90 runs to Goondiwindi at the Queens Park synthetic on Sunday.
Batting first, Warwick scored 120, Will Gordon top scoring with an unbeaten 39.
Goondiwindi replied with 210 to win by 90 runs.
Luke Radford was the best of the Warwick bowlers with 2-9 off four overs.
Ben Gobson took 2-21 off six overs.
Morgan Vellacott took 1-10 off four overs.
This Saturday is the final round of Warwick Cricket Association junior fixtures for the calendar year.
After some early wash-outs, fixtures have been played most weekends.
On Saturday, rain at 10.30am did stop some play after threatening all morning.
This Saturday, under-10 games will be at Glennie Heights State School, U12 games at Warwick East State School and U14/U16 matches at Queens Park.
