Undergo spiritual delights at the psychic expo

THIS weekend Warwick extends a warm welcome to the psychic expo with many mysterious and mischievous curiosities on offer.

With various spiritual phenomena on show, such as tarot card readings, crystal light showers, reiki applications and meditation workshops there truly is something for everyone.

Medium clairvoyant Monica Ward commented on the success of previous expos.

"This is the second one we've done because the first one was such a success," she said.

"People were asking whether we would come again."

With more than 70 years of combined experience between Monica and her co-organiser Margaret Briggs, in addition to the five readers joining them from Queensland and New South Wales, you couldn't ask for more variety and experience.

"What we look at is universal knowledge so people aren't looking at it as just a religious or spiritual thing. A body, mind, spirit harmony," she said.

The pair said the group "likes to put money back into the local community".

"We chose to use the CWA hall because it supports the locals," Monica said.

"We are also supporting DAG Force (Demented Artist Group) and animal rescue."

The popularity of events similar to the expo is on the rise around rural Queensland with Emerald, Nanango and Chinchilla all opening their doors to similar expos in May and June.

"There has been an increase in interest and the amount of people accessing our facilities. In larger cities it's become a bit more of an industry which is worrying".

Margaret confirmed: "We've seen a big resurgence and increase in understanding as people become interested in things they never even knew about before".

They believe this recent rise in interest can be attributed to the amount of information on the internet.

When asked about advice they would give to anyone hesitant to visit, they said: "This is about getting people to open up more".

"Just come and find out for yourself and don't be afraid to ask questions," Monica said.

"Sceptical people often get the best results and end up being converted."

The psychic expo will be held today in the QCWA hall, Grafton St. Doors will be open from 9am-4.30pm.
