Unique and unusual to shine on Wearable Art Awards catwalk

ART and fashion will join forces for the runway show of the year in Warwick tonight.

The Warwick Artist Group's Fashionarty Wearable Art Awards will begin in spectacular fashion with a runway show at the School of Total Education.

More than 40 pieces will be featured in the show, with entries across four categories - couture, sustainability, fantasy and accessories.

Dozens of local artists have been working for months on gowns, hats, pants and even kilts, which will be modelled by local men and women.

Tickets are available at the door, with art and fashion lovers encouraged to come along and support local artists.

WHERE: Vijaya Yogendra Auditorium, School of Total Education

 WHEN: Tonight, from 6.30pm

COST: $25 (includes glass of bubbly and nibbles)

For those who can't make the runway show, there will also be a static display of the outfits tomorrow.

Get up close with the winning wearable art pieces and see the amount of detail put in by the local artists.

This is an exhibition unlike any other in Warwick, with so many exquisite artworks to be admired.
