UPDATE: Man charged after Rocky stabbing

UPDATE 6am: ONE person has been charged after a stabbing incident at a Rockhampton residence yesterday afternoon.

Police have charged a 26-year-old man with one count of unlawful wounding and one of willful damage. after the incident in Sheehy St, Park Avenue.

Police allege two men were involved in an altercation around noon when a 25-year-old man sustained stab wounds to his chest and body.

He was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The 26-year-old was arrest at the scene and taken to the police station.

He was denied police bail and is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court this morning.

UPDATE 3.30PM: Police say a person has been taken into custody following an alleged stabbing in Park Avenue this afternoon.

A spokeswoman for the Queensland Police Service said the woman was assisting authorities with their enquiries.

She said the stabbing to the man's shoulder and finger was the result of a domestic situation.

 

BREAKING: A MAN has been stabbed multiple times to the upper left chest area after an incident in Park Avenue.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the male was transported in a "severe, but stable" condition to Rockhampton Hospital.

The incident was reported at 12.48pm.

It's understood the incident happened at an address in the area of Buzacott and Calder streets.
