
Crash sends money raining over highway
IT was raining money on a US interstate on Wednesday after a vehicle filled of cash collided with car, sending cash bills flying across the road.
According to CNN, an interstate in Illinois was covered in US$5, $10 and $20 bills after a car carrying cash from a video gambling machines crashed into a guardrail before hitting another car. It’s unknown how much cash was in the car.
The driver was reportedly driving too fast, before losing control and careening off the road.

A third vehicle ended up in a roadside ditch after trying to avoid the accident, reports WCIA.

Local police rushed to the scene to collect the money.
The road was closed for about an hour while authorities picked up the cash, leaving traffic backup for several kilometres.

Fox News reports that one of the drivers was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The other drivers had minor injuries, according to St Louis Post Dispatch.
Twitter users were quick to comment on the incident, joking about pocketing the cash and offering to help pick it up. One user even started a poll asking if people would pocket the cast or not.
