THE large grass fire on Warwick-Allora Rd is now under control.

Many urban and rural fire crews attended.

Darren Welsh from the Warwick Fire Station said conditions were perfect for fires and residents needed to be mindful when throwing out cigarette butts.

"The situation could have been a lot worse, it's extremely dry," he said.

"Luckily we were able to get the fire under control before it spread."
