Vidlers celebrate 60 years of love
THE Daily News congratulates Ron and Cynthia Vidler on the celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary on March 26.
The couple met in Ashford, New South Wales where they lived before moving to the Warwick area some 50 years ago.
Mr and Mrs Vidler's daughter Maria Slater said the couple celebrated their anniversary with family and friends.
"They had a really lovely time," Ms Slater said.
"Mum's a bit of a homebody while Dad is more of a socialite and likes to get out and play bowls."
Mr Vidler, 87, had worked with Warwick Council but has been enjoying his time with his wife, 78, since his retirement 17 years ago.
The couple has five children, and Ms Slater said they both enjoy spending time with their family.
"They love visits from the grandchildren and great grandchildren," she said.
"They've had their ups and downs but they've weathered the storms and we're happy for them to be celebrating."
