Vintage vehicles fill Warwick CBD

A 1934 Ford which was imported from Long Beach, California, is now the pride and joy of Warwick vintage car enthusiast Ross Siddans.

He was one of more than 110 drivers at yesterday's Grand Vintage Car Display in the Warwick CBD.

"The restoration started as a project for a bloke at Long Beach who died. A friend imported the car to Australia and I have finished the restoration as a retirement project," he said.

"Cars are an obsession for me.

"You meet many great people."

Doug Partington was at the display with his 1922 Wikner Ford Special, which is the oldest racing car in Australia.

"I have raced it at most tracks in Australian except Bathurst," he said.

"There hasn't been a suitable historic race at Bathurst to enter."

A large crowd was on hand to inspect the vehicles.
