Visitors in town for Super Sprints
RENEE Sams hadn't been to Warwick for 15 years before spending the weekend in town for the Queensland Super Sprints at Morgan Park.
"I used to come to Warwick for family vacations and can see the town has come a long way in 15 years," Sams said.
She was in town as partner Aaron Hyde was racing for the first time in his father Mark's car.
His father drove the same car but the event was (timed) sprints and they raced in different groups.
He had a smile from ear to ear after beating his dad by half a second in a fastest three-lap time of two hours 41.6 seconds to win the class.
They came in a group of six, booked two nights motel accommodation and ate out to boost the Warwick economy.
