Viva Las Vegas as legends land in town

STEP back in time with the Vegas Legends Show coming to the Criterion Hotel this Saturday.

Cabaret impersonators Kerry James and Joe Ace will transform into big name stars of Las Vegas, such as Elvis, Dolly Parton, Frank Sinatra and Tina Turner before audiences for a big night of entertainment.

Functions manager Jacqui Swift-Ross said the show had already generated plenty of interest.

"I think it's some fresh entertainment for the town," she said.

"People can come in and have a great night out with friends or family, enjoy a great show and have a drink at the upstairs bar.

"It's fairly old school but the Elvis and Johnny Cash impersonator show last year was a big success.

"Joe has performed on Australia's Got Talent and Kerry has 16 costume changes so it's exciting."

Elvis was known for his appetite and Ms Swift-Ross said there would be a few special treats inspired by the legendary characters themselves appearing for one night only.

"We've got a great chef who's made some speciality items named for four of the entertainers," she said.

"There's the Presley burger with steak, bacon, rissole, egg, and barbecue sauce; Cash's chicken; and Tina's Thai salad with beef, prawns and a sweet chilli sauce.

"And then Dolly's Decadent Dessert - salted caramel slice with caramel swirl, cream and strawberries."

Tickets are $25 for the show only with doors opening at 7pm for show time at 8pm.
