Volunteers keep things on track at Morgan Park.
HORSE POWER column with Gerard Walsh
THE volunteers never stop in sport.
This week, I was driving past the new area the Warwick Polocrosse Club has developed as a training field and riding track and saw some bushes growing brilliantly.
The bushes are right along the fence of the service road and my guess is you will still be able to see horse and rider over the top when they are fully grown.
GOOD to see Morgan Park Raceway being used in the off-season.
Patrizicorse is a motor racing company from the Gold Coast and owner Michael Patrizi told me during the week he would be at the raceway for 10 days in January to test cars.
My guess is the Patrizicorse team will do well in its debut season in the Formula 4 national series. The first driver selected in the team, Jackson Walls, made the trip from Sydney to spend two days testing cars at Morgan Park along with fellow young gun Jack Doohan.
THE Warwick Horse Trials Club year will start the second day of its summer school before most are out of bed on Saturday morning to avoid the heat of the day.
There are 30 participants and they head out for more instruction late in the day.
All had an opportunity to register for some Emmett Therapy instruction in the middle of the day.
There is a Hunter Trial which is show-jumping and cross country on Sunday.
