Wallangarra hosts Sunday play

THE Langham Slashers Social Club travelled to the Wallangarra Golf Club for their Sunday morning competition with the help of their sponsors, Rose City Carvery, Warwick Outdoor Sports and the Langham Slashers Social Club.

Eight players teed off on the first tee for an 18-hole stableford event on the Wallangarra course.

The winner of the first nine, sponsored by the Langham Slashers Social Club, was Tom Bartholomia, with 17 points on countback.

The winner of the second nine, sponsored by Warwick Outdoors and Sports, was John Francis with a total score of 21 points.

The overall winner, sponsored by the Rose City Carvery, was Greg Owens who scored 43 points for the 18 holes.

The nearest to the pins were on the 3rd, 9th, 11th and 15th, with the 9th the only pins taken by Jack Farrell.

The KFC longest drive was won by Jack Farrell on the 8th fairway and the Bradman went to our new member, Cathy Francis.
