Warwick all rounder leads Heat to easy win

CRICKET: Warwick all rounder Delissa Kimmince was the second most economical bowler in the Brisbane Heat nine-wicket victory against Sydney Thunder at Blacktown today in WBBL cricket.

Batting first, the Thunder scored 8-115 off 20 overs.

Kimmince took 1-17 off four overs at an economy rate of 4.25 runs an over. The most economical Heat bowler was Kara Sutherland with 3-5 off two overs.

In reply, Brisbane scored 1-117 to win easily. Beth Mooney led the way with an unbeaten 75.

Kimmince was down to bat at No.5 but was not required.

The win puts the Heat in a strong position before their next games on Sunday and Monday against Hobart Hurricanes at Blundstone Stadium.

The Heat men are playing at the Gabba tonight and are 0-48 off four overs batting first. Warwick paceman Mark Steketee is down to bat at No.9, one position behind Nick Buchanan who has been included in the 11.
