Warwick bookworms mark Lifeline Bookfest as a must
BOOKWORMS will shelve their plans for this weekend as they head off to browse a tale or two at Lifeline’s Bookfest.
Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Qld is bringing Bookfest to town this Friday and Saturday to give the people of Warwick and surrounds the opportunity to get some great book bargains.
St Mary’s Hall will be the home of the Lifeline Daily News Warwick Bookfest this year, with thousands of pre-loved books offered at a great price.
With many categories and titles to choose from, including cooking and craft, biography, war and history, and the always popular children’s section, there is something for everyone.
More than just a book sale, Bookfest is a major fundraising event for Lifeline Darling Downs with all money raised going back into the organisation to fund mch needed services and programs for people in need.
CEO Derek Tuffield said a good turnout was expected for the event.
“The community around Warwick have always been very generous towards our organisation, and we are very excited about being able to offer them some great quality books at really great prices,” she said.
The Lifeline Daily News 2016 Warwick Bookfest kicks off with a twilight to evening session on Friday from 5pm to 9pm.
The event continues on Saturday from 8am through until 2pm in the afternoon.
