Warwick business applies for big expansion

THE owners of Warwick's Oasis Caravan Park have big plans for the Wallace St site.

They applied to the Southern Downs Regional Council to build 17 new cabins and up to 33 additional powered and unpowered caravan lots.

The project, if approved, would be rolled out of over six stages and take up a currently vacant block on Cleary St, behind the United Petroleum Service Station.

The cabins are designed as relocatable structures with two bedrooms, an open plan kitchen, dining and living room, and a single bathroom, toilet and laundry.

The council is still assessing the application an there is no firm date for when work on the site will start.
