Credit union banks on helping region

IT HAS been over 40 years since the Warwick Credit Union first opened its doors in Warwick and it now operates in five other locations across the Darling Downs.

Warwick Credit Union senior manager sales and marketing Helen Roche said the Credit Union opened its newest branch in Chinchilla mid-September.

"We now have the local Warwick branches plus branches in Killarney, Inglewood, Allora, Dalby and Chinchilla," she said.

"Chinchilla is a town enjoying great growth with many new residents and business enterprise, and is a great complement to our existing branches.

"We are committed to bringing the Credit Union brand and our community banking alternative to the people of Chinchilla and district and are confident we can assist them in achieving their financial goals.

"That whilst Warwick Credit Union remains a relatively small business, our continued business growth and expansion demonstrates our strength and long-term commitment to our members, their communities, and the wider region generally".
