Warwick cricket teams made 400 in 40 overs, is it a record?
CRICKET: Warwick Hotel Colts hit one of the highest scores in the decade when they scored at 10 runs an over in 2-400 against Sovereign Animals at the Queens Park Synthetic.
While there aren't official records for team highest scores, few teams have scored 400 since Condamine Cup cricket reverted to 40 overs, not 50 a side.
Openers Nick Inmon, 77, and Lachlan Gross, 62, shared a century partnership and once they were dismissed enter Kev Poole and Cameron Peterson.
Peterson was 117 not out at the end of the 40th over and Poole 100 not out.
Tony Munro was the best of the bowlers with 1-57 off six overs.
Anthony Nero scored 36 in the Sovereign score of 121.
Darling Downs junior paceman Jacob Gross took 3-11 off four overs for the winners with Michael Coleman and Alastair Costello each taking two wickets.
The games on Saturday were moved to synthetic due to Friday night rain.
