Warwick debs preparing for a night to remember

A DOZEN eager young women will follow a time-honoured tradition in May when they make their debut and take to the dancefloor at the 70th annual Caledonian Debutante Ball.

Kaycie Gillam, 16, said she was keen to make some new friends and enjoy the chance to dress up.

"It's important, it's our coming of age and time to have a dance.”

Jessica Welsh, also 16, said it was about making memories for her.

"I've always wanted to do this, I'm really looking forward to it,” she said.
