Warwick debutantes unmasked at Anglican ball

MASKS were the theme of the night but there was no masking the beauty of the debutantes at the St Mark's Anglican Debutante Ball.

Nine young women made their debut s at Friday's ball in front of a large crowd.

St Mark's Anglican Debutante Ball committee member Elaine Stewart was pleased with how the night went.

"It went very well, it was a lovely night," she said.

"They (the debs) all looked very beautiful. They danced all night and had a wonderful time."

In keeping with this year's theme, the debutantes swapped their traditional floral bouquets in favour of masks.

Mrs Stewart said the masks were beautifully made.

"They were very beautiful, we had masks as decorations as well," she said. "Wow Factor also sponsored our decorations.

"Kate (Strudwick) was very good, she helped us a great deal with our table decorations."

Mrs Stewart said planning for next year's ball will start in the coming months.

"We start later in the year, usually around November and start working out what the theme is going to be," she said.
